Losing weight without much effort is every person’s dream but if it was that easy, everyone would be in shape. Unfortunately, there really is no way to successfully lose weight without some sort of effort put into that goal.

While people should slowly integrate healthier lifestyle options into their lives, many think trying to lose weight is an all or nothing situation, meaning they have to completely change their lifestyle to see the results. If people realise that they can gradually work towards losing weight instead of making drastic changes from the start, overall they’ll feel like they aren’t making huge sacrifices just to lose a couple of pounds.

Whether it’s adding healthier options to your diet or going for a walk 15 minutes a day, there are a lot of creative ways to start your journey to a healthier you.  This article will give you an overview of how to successfully and reasonably work towards your goal weight.

Do not change your diet completely from the start as it can seem too restricted at first resulting in you quitting your goal cold-turkey; start off slow with healthy changes and build from there. It’s widely known that chai is the favourite morning beverage amongst most Indians. However, by either swapping out the chai or starting your day off with a glass of luke-warm water with a lemon slice might be a great alternative. Lemon water has numerous benefits such as being able to detox your body, boost your immune system and metabolism, as well as promote healthy digestion.

3. Opt For Natural Sweetener


Everything sweet, isn’t sour, so keep in mind organic natural sweeteners like honey, jaggery, and coconut sugar when changing your diet. Besides your body simply being able to digest organic natural sweeteners better, artificial sweeteners are known to cause problems with weight control and set on early signs of diabetes. Overall, not going to bed full and bloated from just having dinner with boost your heart health and help you get a better nights sleep.

5. Take a Light After-Dinner Walk

Having dinner at least two hours before bedtime followed by a light walk will help boost your digestion and build a higher metabolism. It’s also an easy way to incorporate a little exercise into your everyday schedule. On top of improving digestion, taking a brisk walk after eating is also known to decrease stress, improve blood sugar, and boats blood flow throughout your body.

Stay aware of the amount of food you are putting into your body. Concentrating on your meal portions will help you lose weight and maintain it off. In between meals, be sure to have 6-8 glasses of water each day, one specifically to drink before each meal, this will help you feel full and keep you hydrated.

Losing weight is a journey and about making lifestyle changes but that doesn’t mean you have to force yourself into a strict diet.
